INTERVENTIONS

It is understandable that the definition and role of photography are subjects for debate: as its continuous modernization goes forward, from the first experiences in the 19th century to the present day, the processes have been changing in an accelerated way. With each new equipment launched on the market, less effort is required from photographers. If on one hand photography becomes more accessible, on the other, it covers the structure of It's process, limiting the photographer to what a specific camera can do.

The "Interventions" project came through the investigation of the photographic process. Going through the invisible and changeable limits of what can define photography, the artist used different techniques, printing, reconditioning with other elements and photographing the print itself, in some cases, several times.

In the end, the works are presented as photographic prints in mineral pigment, but it can't be said and neither is the artist's intention to state that they are photographs. It's enough, however,  that there is an attempt to decipher the processes searching for understanding.
